Nothing New

“There is nothing new under the sun.”

“What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.” – Ecclesiastes 1:9, ESV

All that has been done, can be undone by swift destruction. Yet, the most promising realities are formed from virtues made of gold. The refiner’s fire will test the soul of the faithful, as darkness takes its toll upon this world. And the powers that be will try to create something new – a promise of a manmade utopia. Transcendent visions await those who hold out for something beyond this mundane world that will arrive in due time, before the end. Look, to the Heavens.

Nothing new can be created out of the ashes of the old.”

Human nature remains the same across the ages; so, human errors, faults, and foibles will still be part of the equation. No amount of seeking our oppressors outside of ourselves, as if social justice can be bought upon the condemnation of others, without examining ourselves, will avail mankind for the sake of the common good. Rather, all totalitarian movements have begun this way, and end in dystopia. Those who claim to be Woke are asleep, lacking awareness of the true culprit inside each and every one of us – we must battle against our own negative inclinations, in order to transcend evil.

Fallen Nature: Part Two

Woe to the inhabitants of the earth, who have no knowledge of the Creator,

Who was, is, and will continue to be Sovereign L-rd over all of His Creation,

even those of us who pray for the sake of the renewal of the earth,

yet, neglect to seek redemption for ourselves according to the divine plan.

Pride, selfishness, and greed lead toward environmental degradation,

sometimes, as the consequence of war, as is evidenced in Ukraine,

in other instances of unfortunate significance, the effects of pollution,

disregarded by a profit over people and the earth mentality.

~~~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~~
Echoes of the primal shattering of the vessels that contained the elements,
prima facie evidence of the original fall of mankind that sent cosmic ripples
out into the universe, from one end of heaven to the other, worlds collided,
temperatures flared, beyond levels that were set in place to preserve life.
If Paradise on earth reflected the harmony of a perfect universe,
then the disharmony of the fall shows the consequences of deviance
from the original blueprint, the design of mankind, replete with guidelines,
for the proper functioning, of mankind in relationship to self and others.
~~~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~~

Do we face the same unfolding of the universe at the end of time,

a resultant cataclysmic event brought about by a refusal to adhere

the parameters of a finite existence, and limited resources,

until He Who holds the stars in the palm of His hands relents?
